First of all, we actually thought that only Tarkan was going to came. Honestly, some people even confused him with Tarkan Dudu, the other famous Tarkan from Turkey which is not at all DJ, but a pop singer!!

Actually, DJ Tarkan and his partner V-Sag are already very renowned, notably in Europe and South America, with fully booked gigs in all four corners of the globe. Their style is a combination between electro sounds and deep, dark and juicy house.

We arrived at Stadium merely on time to meet and greet Tarkan and V-Sag. Tarkan arrived a few days late due to some immigration problems - so on their previous gig in Surabaya where both were supposed to play, only V-Sag was able to perform. Anyway, Tarkan and V-Sag were both veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery nice. We didn't have the time to do the interview that night so they promised to meet us in the next two days to have dinner together and eventually talk within the frame of interview.

Stadium was full from top to bottom, as always. Both of the DJs were happy to see people waiting for them - at 2 AM they went up the stage and started their set with a long silence, a distant bass trembling every once in a while. Tension climbed up, and suddenly after about a minute of the almost-silent music, Tarkan enters his first track, beatful and inviting.

They actually play back to back and sometimes together at once, reminding us of Simon and Shaker. Yes, the genre is so housy - we simply looove it! None of the songs were commercial - they were all new-but-vintage, old-but-modern, and very well mixed and remixed. We think that charging up the harmony within the beats must be Tarkan and V-Sag's natural gift.

Both of the guys were perfectly interactive with the crowd. They didn't hesitate to raise their hands, laugh, smile, asking the crowd to respond, and that worked like magic. We loved it so much being there next to the DJ booth, enjoying ourselves, taking pictures while dancing and moving slowly around the mass - hypnotized by the music.

What we really appreciated from this gig was first of all, it changed much from the "usual 4th floor" we know. The music was soft yet it was so good to dance on, it was full of beats but harmonic, and most of all, this was the genre we prefer : deep house!! Big thanks to Stadium for having offered us this kind of music once in awhile at the 4th floor.

At 4:30 AM we finally went home, but Tarkan and V-Sag still continued to play. Next year when the duo comes back to Indonesia we'd absolutely be there in the first row.....
